Whenever we went as a family to he seaside I'd take my camera, normally loaded with black and white film. As well as taking photos of the family I was always on the look out for other opportunities to capture interesting people and situations. The ‘snapshot’ had a big influence on my style - the classic family group sitting on the beach or the older generation on the pier away from the children and dogs.
