In May 1984 my local Football Club Watford reached the FA Cup Final for the first and only time in their history. Everton F.C. from Liverpool were their opponents. Watford were playing in the old First Division under the management Graham Taylor at the time.

I took my camera to record the big day, loaded with colour film I took photographs of all aspects of the weekend. The supporters of both sides, the stadium (now demolished) and the return of the Watford players to the town the following day. On the day Everton were the better team and won 2-0. It's now nearly thirty years ago since this game took place, now there's a new Wembley Stadium and Watford FC have been relegated a division.

This is a small selection of photographs from that weekend in 1984.
